How to Design a Fast Loading Website

A quick loading website is what every user wants. Your website may have great design but web surfers hardly have time to brows your website it takes too much time to get loaded. Usability is the first thing that a web designer should keep in mind.
Following are a few things that a web designer must take note of:
Use of image might enhance the visual appeal but it increases the loading time in turn. Keep the design simple with minimum number of images for faster loading of the website.
Further, you can also optimize images in terms of size by choosing less number of colors to reduce the size of the image. Online tools are available for image size optimization.
Using background images wherever possible, especially in header and footer can also help you reduce the size of the web pages to a great extent.
Animated .gif is another reason why a website takes longer time to load. Eye-catching animated images easily attract user’s attention. But visual appeal can not be appreciated at the cost of users’ time. It is recommended that you use smaller and less number of animated gif image when needed.
Design small and simpler icons instead of large multi-colored icons to get your site loaded faster.
Tables can be used in an innovative way to create good designs. As tables are generated using HTML code they get loaded quickly.
